Aluminium Cladding

Timber look and contemporary aluminium cladding systems for commercial, multi residential, education, and civic projects.

  • Where Form Meets Function

  • Cladding is more than a protective layer, it defines the character of a building. Aluminium systems offer sharp detailing, consistent shadow lines and long term durability, even in demanding environments. Lightweight but strong, they resist weathering, require minimal upkeep and maintain their finish over time. The result is a façade that performs well and looks considered from every angle.

FAQs

Why choose aluminium cladding?

Knotwood’s aluminium cladding is tough, weather-resistant and won’t rot or rust. It’s fire-safe, low-maintenance and built to last. Lightweight yet durable, it’s easy-to-install and available in a wide range of colours and finishes to suit any design.

What lengths is Knotwood cladding available in?

Knotwood cladding is available in 6.5m and 5.65m lengths.

Can I use Knotwood in BAL-FZ (Flame Zone) areas?

Knotwood is non-combustible (AS 1530.1), but for BAL-FZ compliance, the whole wall system – cladding, framing, sarking, insulation, fixings and cavity barriers – must be tested or assessed together as BAL-FZ compliant.

Can I use Knotwood in C4-C5 coastal or industrial zones?

Knotwood cladding must be installed in accordance with relevant guidelines and building codes to ensure both performance and compliance.

Can aluminium cladding be retrofitted?

Knotwood aluminium cladding can be installed over various existing materials, such as wood, brick or concrete, as long as the underlying structure is sound and properly prepared.

Does aluminium cladding make a building hot inside?

No – aluminium actually reflects heat instead of absorbing it. When paired with the right insulation and ventilation, it helps keep indoor temperatures stable, even in hot climates.
